BOHOL | Wow Panglao!

My flawless day in Bohol was defined by a breath taking sunrise, dolphin watching, snorkelling in marine sanctuary, crystal blue water, white sand and an afternoon at the hammock. This is one experience you can find perfectly in Panglao.

I was very energized and excited to start my second day in Bohol. As usual, I woke up early and walked down the beach before the sun showed up. It was surreal to see how the clouds formed and the unbelievable tones the sky has revealed. I sat down and watched slowly the sun until the break of dawn.

7am in the morning we boarded our boat to search wild dolphins. According to our tour guide, it is ideal to do this early morning because that is the perfect time when dolphins come out and play. I was able to see hundreds of dolphins! They were swimming from left to right! Some even went very close to our boat and I almost jumped in the water because of excitement.

We docked at Balicasag Island to have breakfast and snorkel. Most tourist are taken here because of the marine sanctuary and it is considered as a world class diving spot. The local residents of this island are the ones to take you at the snorkelling site. Additional fee has to be paid for the short boat ride and  swimming gears. The snorkelling area is super clear water and only waist deep. Beautiful corals and colorful fishes are all over the place. Just be careful with sharp corals because it can cause bruises and abrasion. I dove underwater and the view was mesmerizing.
That's me! =)
There's Nemo!
After Balicasag, the Virgin Island in Panglao can be a next stop for the island hopping. The sand bar of this island is crescent-shaped with shallow water.  Nothing much to do here but to enjoy it's natural beauty.

The last stop of the island hopping was Bohol Beach Club. Our boatmen was kind enough to drop us in this first class resort. We payed for a day tour fee of Php250 with Php150 consumable. We had lunch in the local restaurant and was well satisfied of the seafoods we ate.

I settled in one of the hammocks and took a nap. The sound of the waves  was lullaby to my ears. My friends and I also spent the afternoon at the swimming pool and played a Filipino game - patintero by the beach until the sun went down.

Note: Our island hopping was arranged by Villa Alemdilla Resort.

Until the next destination,
Teng
